A house steeped in history with a very unique ambience
Founded in 1978, the guesthouse is situated at the foot of the famous 1000-Eimerberg.
Foundation walls of nearly one metre in thickness, built right into the steep hillside, as well as solid vaulting on the ground level and in the basement respectively, bear witness to the long history of the building, spanning a period of more than half a millennium.
The same is true of a late Gothic wrought iron door, an antique gem, that was discovered while the building was being renovated and can now be admired in the entrance area.
Numerous antique pieces of furniture, paintings and prints belonging to the owners‘ family for decades exude pure nostalgia.
Enjoy the calm, central location
The unusually quiet location of our guesthouse is absolutely outstanding. The lower section of Market Street leading up to the local church was once part of the Medieval main street on the southeastern hillside of the so-called 1000-Eimerberg.
Nowadays you find a romantic little cul-de-sac without any traffic that boasts lavish floral decoration and whose Mediterranean ambience attracts the attention of passers-by who regularly take beautiful pictures.
Due to the perfect location of our house right at the historic centre of the village of Spitz, you find all kinds of inns, cafés, Heurigen places, shops and interesting sights within easy walking distance.
The newly refurbished Church Square and the Danube Promenade are just 100 and 300 metres away from our house.
Our house is a non-smoking place, but you may enjoy your cigarette in the alleyway in front of the building .
